Das World Theatre Training Institute wurde als AKT-ZENT Internationales Theaterzentrum Berlin 1995 von dem künstlerischen Leiter Dr. Jurij Alschitz und der Programmdirektorin Christine Schmalor gegründet. Es ist das Research Centre des Internationalen Theaterinstituts sowie die Zentrale der European Association for Theatre Culture.

Das WTTI bietet Fortbildung, Training, Recherche in Seminaren, Meisterklassen, Laboratorien in Berlin, Europa und in weltweiten Kooperationen.

Die wichtigsten Projekte: Hybrid Platform for Theatre; The World Theatre Training Library; Ausbildung zum Schauspiellehrer: Teaching Professional Theatre Practice; METHODIKA Festival for Theatre Training Methods.

Eigene Schriftreihe ARS INCOGNITA mit Publikationen für die praktische Theaterarbeit.

The World Theatre Training Institute was founded as AKT-ZENT Intrnational Theatre Centre Berlin in 1995 by artistic director Dr. Jurij Alschitz and programme director Christine Schmalor. It is appointed Research Centre of the International Theatre Institute, the World Organization for the Performing Arts, coordinates the European Association for Theatre Culture and collaborates with academies and universities world-wide.

The WTTI offers continuous education, training, research in seminars, master classes, laboratories in Berlin, Europe and in worldwide partnerships.

The main projects are the Hybrid Platform for Theatre, The World Theatre Training Library, Teaching Professional Theatre Practice, METHODIKA Festival for Theatre Training Methods, Young researchers’ studio with laboratories and productions. Own series ARS INCOGNITA – publications for professional theater artists.
