Masha Sapizhak
Theatermacherin, Performancekünstlerin und Theaterpädagogin.
Geboren 1992 in Archangelsk (Russland), lebt in Berlin.
In ihrer künstlerischen Tätigkeit beschäftigt sich Masha mit Praktiken von Widerstand, Solidarität und Empowerment aus feministischer Perspektive. Sie arbeitet multidisziplinär und setzt in ihren Projekten dramatische und dokumentarische Theatermethoden, zeitgenössischen Tanz, Digitalmedien, performative Ansätzen, Praktiken der Partizipation und Gamification ein, auch Humor als ein wirkungsvolles Mittel sehend.
In Deutschland arbeitete sie u. a. mit dem English Theater Berlin, Gorki Theater, Theater Strahl, Hellerau, Ballhaus Prinzenallee und Theater an der Parkaue.
2022–2023 war sie Stipendiatin der Martin-Roth-Initiative, 2025-2026 – Stipendiatin von Weltoffenes Berlin.
Ihre Produktion ”Wir holen uns die Nacht zurück” (Premiere von 2024) wurde mit IKARUS-Preis der Fach- und Jugendjury ausgezeichnet.

Born in 1992 in Arkhangelsk (Russia), lives in Berlin.
In her artistic work, Masha explores practices of resistance, solidarity, and empowerment from a feminist perspective. She works in a multidisciplinary manner and uses dramatic and documentary theater methods, contemporary dance, digital media, performative approaches, participatory practices, and gamification in her projects, also seeing humour as a powerful tool.
In Germany, she has worked with the English Theater Berlin, Gorki Theater, Theater Strahl, Hellerau, Ballhaus Prinzenallee, and Theater an der Parkaue, among others.
In 2022–2023, she was a scholarship holder of the Martin Roth Initiative. In 2025–2026, she was awarded a scholarship of ”Weltoffenes Berlin” Program.
Her production “Wir holen uns die Nacht zurück” (premiere in 2024) was awarded the IKARUS Prizes by the Expert and Youth Jury.
