LUNA PARK e.V.
2003 als Kollektiv freier Künstler*innen gegründet und bis heute von dem Choreografen, Tanzpädagogen und Kulturmanager/Kurator Kosmas Kosmopoulos geleitet, ist LUNA PARK seit 2019 ein gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz an der Gesundbrunnen-Grundschule in Berlin-Wedding. LUNA PARK verbindet professionellen zeitgenössischen Tanz mit soziokultureller Bildungsarbeit und schafft damit kulturelle Teilhabe und eine lebendige Wechselwirkung zwischen Kunst und Gesellschaft.
Von 2022 bis Anfang 2026 konnte diese synergetische Arbeitsweise durch das Modell „tanz(t)räume“, gefördert durch die Tanz-Exzellenzförderung TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund, maßgeblich ausgebaut werden: Mit der Etablierung einer Künstler*innenresidenz an der Gesundbrunnen-Grundschule entstand der dezentrale Tanzort „Produktionsort Schule“ als nachhaltige strukturelle Basis. Vorhandene Räume werden dort für Produktion, Begegnung, Beteiligungsformate und Nachwuchsförderung genutzt. LUNA PARK steht damit für Kulturarbeit, die Kunst dorthin bringt, wo Menschen leben, lernen und zusammenkommen – und aus vorhandenen Räumen nachhaltige kulturelle Infrastruktur entwickelt.
Founded in 2003 as a collective of independent artists and led ever since by choreographer, dance educator, and cultural manager/curator Kosmas Kosmopoulos, LUNA PARK has been a non-profit association since 2019, based at Gesundbrunnen Primary School in Berlin-Wedding. LUNA PARK brings together professional contemporary dance and sociocultural education, creating opportunities for cultural participation and fostering a dynamic exchange between art and society.
From 2022 to early 2026, this synergistic approach was significantly expanded through the “tanz(t)räume” model, supported by the TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund dance excellence funding programme. The establishment of an artists’ residency at Gesundbrunnen Primary School created “Produktionsort Schule,” a decentralised dance venue that provides a sustainable structural foundation. Existing spaces are used for artistic production, encounters, participatory formats, and the development of emerging artists. LUNA PARK thus stands for cultural work that brings art to the places where people live, learn, and come together – transforming existing spaces into sustainable cultural infrastructure.
