Der gebürtige Berliner erhielt seine künstlerische Ausbildung an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin u.a. im Gesang und arbeitete bereits als Musikstudent am Berliner Friedrichstadtpalast. Prof. Dietmar Seyffert holte ihn 1992 als Gast für die Hauptrolle in „JESUS CHRIST SUPER-STAR“ an die Bühnen der Stadt Gera. Seit dem ist er erfolgreich im Musiktheater tätig. Er spielte Hauptrollen u.a. in „LA CAGE AUX FOLLES“, „CABARET“, „WEST SIDE STORY“, „EVITA“, „TITANIC“ und arbeitete mit Harry Kupfer und Roman Polanski. Seit 2006 ist er selbst als Regisseur und Autor tätig. So schrieb und inszenierte er neben verschiedenen Weihnachtsmusicals eine Musical-Fassung für Rolf Hochhuths „Inselkomödie“ und führte 2010 auch die Regie im Theater am Schiffbauerdamm (Berliner Ensemble). Für das Stadttheater Cöpenick inszenierte er 2012 die Erstaufführung von „JENTL“ nach der Kurzgeschichte von Isaac Bashevis Singer, für die er auch die Bühnenfassung sowie die deutschen Liedtexte schrieb.

Berlin-born Heiko Stang received his artistic training in singing and acting at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin and worked as a music student at Friedrichstadtpalast. Prof. Dietmar Seyffert picked him in 1992 as a guest for the title role in “JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR” in Gera. Since then, he has successfully worked in musical theater. He played leading roles e.g. in “LA CAGE AUX FOLLES”, “CABARET”, “WEST SIDE STORY”, “EVITA”, “TANZ DER VAMPIRE”, “TITANIC” and worked under the direction of Harry Kupfer and Roman Polanski. In 2006 he also began working as a director and author. He wrote and staged some Christmas musicals and also was the director of the first performance of Rolf Hochhuth’s musical “THE ISLAND COMEDY OR LYSISTRATE...“ at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm (Berliner Ensemble) in 2010. For the Stadtheater Cöpenick 2012 he directed the premiere of “JENTL” after a short story by Isaac Bashevis Singer, for which he also wrote the stage version and the German lyrics.
